At SYZYGY Warsaw we want to create an environment where everyone feels accepted and safe. We all have the right to be fully ourselves and express ourselves whenever we want, especially at work. We want to support each other in whatever we are going through in our lives, to build relationships that are not just based on work and projects, but are deep, authentic and supportive.
A safe workplace is one in which we raise everyone's awareness that words and actions create or undermine the work environment. We are responsible for each other and for how we feel here. That's why, probably more than in other organizations, we talk about well-being, start meetings with a check in and talk about striving for authenticity at work.
To help build a greater sense of psychological safety, answer to the following 2 questions as often as possible:
We want to create a work environment that we are comfortable with (working hours, vacations, hybrid work, etc.) so that everyone can adapt their way of working needs. Psychological safety means taking care of your own boundaries and being able to assert them. Don't be afraid to talk about your boundaries, define them clearly and signal when someone crosses them. A useful way to do this is through Non-Violent Communication.
SYZYGY Warsaw is a place where we are not afraid to talk about emotions, where we believe that emotions at work are natural, even desirable and the ability to name them, to deal with them, is key to building well-functioning relationships and thus teams.
